"Journal Your Christmas" - Day One

The start of the journal, the manifesto that goes on the first page showing the commitment to complete the project.

I printed my manifesto on acetate, left it to dry and then went to spend the day with my grandson.

Starting today, Monday 1st December 2008, I will keep a Christmas journal. In it, I will write something every day to reflect on the Christmas’s past, record the Christmas of the present and think about Christmas’s of the future. To some, this would be just another album - a stack of papers and scribbles of the PJ, so be it! I don’t care, this is for me, this is my Christmas, I am letting it be something I want it to be and most importantly I promise to give myself at least thirty minutes, every day, no matter how short time is, no matter what else needs to be done to work on my journal. This Christmas I will make something with my own hands, my own words and my own memories. I will leave a lasting legacy for my grandchildren.

I had a great time with DGS and took some photos of him feeding himself at lunch time, it's what the project is all about for me, leaving a part of me behind when I'm gone.

I completed the page when I got home and will upload when I get chance.
