Look at this lushaliscious selection of cottons I'm using to use to make my art journals!

New Project - Handmade Art Journals

Inspired by my gift last week from Hettie (see earlier post) I've started making Handmade journals - patterned cotton on canvas, ribbon binding with metal charms, fabric covered button with elastic loop closure, pen slot, filled with 12 pages of  a choice of Paper. The folio of paper can be taken out tied with ribbon and replaced with new paper once AJ pages are filled, making them environmentally friendly.

Walk on the Esplanade

Went to town today, lots of little jobs to do weather was gorgeous so went for a walk along the sea front, it was lovely.

My Busy Postie Calls Again

 Not only did she send some lush Happy Mail and napkins!

Book of Days - Spirit Guide

Symbolic meanings of the horse, power, grace, beauty, nobility, strength and freedom! My given name is Philippa which means "lover of horses" in Greek - I feel a great affinity with horses! I drew and painted the chestnut horse and the white horse is collaged.

Book of Days - Celebrating the Sisterhood

The tree of the sisterhood, sisters I have a relationship with in Book of Days, some outside BoD's too. I used Wyanne's wet-on-wet technique on my first attempt which I didn't like much, but it grew on me when it was dry and in reflection.

Confetti Heart Explosion

Using Wyanne's wet on wet process I made a heart, then used the tiny cut out hearts as collage, a bit of doodling and stamping and I have a background!

Life Book - Week 11

Used tissue paper, stamped on some of it, also used patterned decoupage tissue, Samantha Kira's stencil for body & wings, over stamped after dry, Tippex pen for writing!
