ABC Creativity - Weekly Intention

Every Monday, Andrea over at ABCcreativity share's her intention for the week and welcomes you to do the same. This is not about setting goals or creating to-do lists and working our tails off to achieve them. This is about taking some time to be quiet and still and ask “What do I need this week?” and setting an intention from there to align ourselves with that. It’s about paving the way for success, joy and dreams come true to find us throughout the week.

This week I intend to focus on meditation and relaxation in order to give more to my art, especially as I doing the new She Art Worshop with the amazing Christy Tomlinson!

52Q, Week 9 - What Was The Last Brave Thing I did?

No problem with that one, I joined the Brave Girls Club 3 months ago, signed up for Soul Restoration #1 Class in January, started the course 11th January and life has been so totally different because of it, discovered mixed media art, zentangles, doodling, some Amazing Brave Girl Sisters in an amazing community and a sense of peace.

There is another Soul Restoration class starting in April  for first timers and Soul Restoration #2 starts in June for SR#1 Alumni (I am already registered!)

There will be a Blog Hop for Soul Restoration here on my blog starting this Friday, so you can see what other Brave Girls have to say about the course - it is awesome!

Lovely Surprise!

The postie has been TWICE - truly beautiful bouquet of yellow roses from NEXT and a box of Hotel Chocolat Signature Dark chocolates - absolutely gorgeous and totally out of the blue, thank you Lou & David, most appreciated! I have to admit the chocolates have been started (well what do you expect?) and the box does contain my most favourite of all Hotel Chocolat's chocolates, meet Isabelle - a lush praline mousse with almond crunch topping - thankfully DH does not like nuts so I have to eat them both, it will be hard but I enjoy the challenge LOL!

Creativity is a tremendous gift that was born into all of us and that keeps our lives interesting. Brave Girls Daily Truth - A Little Bird Told Me!

Dear Courageous Girl,

When you have done all that you can do, sometimes you are left in a place where you just have to wait. Waiting is painful, waiting is hard. It's perhaps one of the hardest skills we will ever have to develop in our lifetimes.

What if your waiting is ACTIVE? What if, instead of stopping everything to wait, you were to take an active approach and do what you CAN do (even if it has nothing to do with what you're waiting for) trying not to think about the things you cannot do yet.

Active waiting shortens the waiting time, fills your heart with joy instead of angst, and helps you to make progress. Then, if things do not turn out exactly as you'd expected or hoped, your life is full of other wonderful things that you developed during your waiting time.

Life is absolutely meant to be enjoyed, not just endured. Please take some time to actively seek and hold onto joyful experiences while you are waiting.

There is a plan for you. Hold on tight! Enjoy the journey, and smell the flowers while you are stopped.

You are such an inspiration to those around you. Show all of them how to actively wait, too.

3000th Visitor - WOW! WOW!

Today someone was my 3000th visitor, THANK YOU!!!

I'm continue to be amazed, delighted and grateful that people come visit my blog, I also have 29 followers which is awesome. I really do appreciate the comments that are left and read them with continued excitement.  It was only 7 weeks ago I posted that I'd hit 2000! Time flies when you're having fun.

I'm due to take part in a weekend Blog Hop soon (my first!) at the beginning of March - so hopefully my followers will increase then, my blog is small but growing and I use it to showcase any courses I'm doing, my art journal, challenges I take part in, my mixed media art work + of course family stuff, inspirational ideas and all types of baking (I am a food teacher).

Dear Radiant Girl,

Do you see how bright your light shines?

Maybe you didn't notice how dark the room was before you walked in and shared all of that goodness that is in you.

What if you are one of the ONLY ONES who know what you know -- about how important it is to be kind, to dream big dreams, to create beauty, to seek truth.

Wouldn't you feel an excitement in your heart to be able to share that with others who wanted to be a bright light, too?

Never let anything blow out that light. Even if some days it's just barely a flicker. When you move from place to place, you are lighting up places and people and hearts that need it so very much.

Your light is more important than any of use can every understand.

Keep shining brightly!

A Great Day with the Kiddiewinks

Mondays are always full on, with the kiddiewinks, they arrive at 8am and leave at 4pm and inbetween we have fun, frolics and food LOL! I'm always exhausted when they go home with their mum, but happily so! 

Today we walked on the beach and had a blow (sunny but cold!), I cooked with GS#1 (see earlier posts) and made Valentine Fridge Magnets with him as a Valentine Gift for their parents, we watched Nick Jr & Nick Jr2 for a little while and of course had breakfast & lunch, GS#2 frolicked on the sofa with a blanket and played cute as usual.
