Amazing Give Away Time!

Hop on over to Leslie Ackman's super blog Words of Me {Project} for an amazing give away, not one BUT 3 amazing prizes - you have to be it to win it, so what are you waiting for?

A Grand Day Out!

A great day spent with DD, did a "Ladies wot Brunch", followed by a bit of a Gorilla Hunt in Bristol City Centre, followed by a Garra Rufa Fish Pedicure at iCandy, followed by High Tea at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel - yummy (apart from the scones)
DD's first time with "the fish", not too sure she liked it, good job mum treated her with a Groupon offer!
 Telula (No. 52)
 Distinctly Different (No. 10)
Apple of My Eye (No. 12)
Super G Downhill Racer (No. 19)
Grievsey (No. 8)
Then onto High Tea @ The Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel in College Green, lovely soft - smoked salmon, egg & cress, cucumber, ham & mustard sandwiches. Followed by lush chocolate fudge cake, lemon custard tart & light layered sponge slice. The fruit and plain scones with butter, jam & clotted cream were less than acceptable (dry and hard) so I complained and we were served fresh scones, of which the plain were very nice and the fruit were acceptable, we were also given 10% discount on the bill. Copious amounts of many varieties of tea were offered with as many refills as we requested, we tasted 3 different varieties between us. A great time spent with DD, without kiddiewinks, which is probably something we haven't done for nearly 2 years, we won't be leaving it that long until next time!

AquaMarkers Arrived & Tested!

Colour Test & Outline Comparison Charts
My beautiful complete set of Aquamarkers (40) have arrived from their various previous homes, be it secondhand, eBay, or online shops (Cowling Wilcox), I tested all 39 colours on 140lb watercolour paper and also tested the pens with various black outline pens. Of the ten tested, nine did not bleed, one did (Zig), so that gives me lots of options for my various art projects!

30 Days Of Lists

I've signed up for this course, take a look, see what you think!
About It

Not everyone can make a mini scrapbook every week or an art journal page every night.
30 Days of Lists is our encouragement and challenge to you that you CAN journal just something every day – even something as small as a list.
Every day through the month of September a list prompt will be posted – anything from weekend goals to celebrity crushes. At the end of the 30 days you’ll have a collection of entries creating a small snapshot of your life right now.
Only 5-10 minutes per day are really needed. While you’re waiting for someone, or when you’re the passenger in the car. Just write.
There’s no wrong way to do this and if you don’t like a prompt on a certain day, just change it.
30 Days of Lists is a collaboration between Kam of Campfire ChicAmy of Lemon and Raspberry and Justine of A New Beginning.

So Guess what!
Pre-registration for September’s 30 Days of Lists is now open! Visit here to sign up!

Busy Day!

Getting ready for a 4th Birthday Party tomorrow, made trifle, made little cakes, made two scones mixes (1 cherry+coconut & 1 fruit), made & iced birthday cake. GS requested a fire engine, this was the closest I could get with the shape tin I had, chocolate sponge (his request!) with vibrant red fondant icing, DH "made" the wheels (black fondant icing) and I made all the windows and then laminated them, kind of cute don't you think! So much better than a bought one, but not cheaper LOL! Left to do, whip cream for trifle & scones, finish sandwiches, cook scones and lay table (that depends on the weather!)
