Book of Days Pages

My double page spread for my last few days. The backgrouns was tissue paper I'd used underneath earlier pages and on Doodles Unleashed, seemed apt to use it. I also used packaging from my Graze Boxes, info insert from my new crayon tin, part of a Xmas card and bits from my ASDA online delivery (all my WW stuff!), good fun re-using rubbish as ephemera on the pages. Doodled loads with Tippex pen (thanks Traci over at Creativity Unleashed) which I think makes it pop!

The Postie Called Again!

Smack me, I've been naughty, I just loved the crayons Tam used to paint the face on LifeBook's first lesson, I have some Aquarelle's (12) that are similar (a cheaper version I think) that I used but I didn't have the colours Tam used - so I went online and found a good deal @ Turnham Arts & Crafts (AKA Artist Material) and of course some well priced Golden Fluid Acylics dropped in the backet as they do (well I am building up my collection)!

Art Calendar 366 Challenge - March

My March calendar for the 366 Challenge with Kate Crane on her blog The Kathryn Wheel, bright sunshine & daisies, 14th March is DD's birthday & March 18th is Mother's Day in the UK, so special days need special markers LOL!

Monthly ATC Swap - March

Yes, I know I did them out of sequence but when the spirit takes you, you go to just go with it! I did a watercolour background, stamped the tree & the birds then watercoloured the birds and added poppies & buttercups in the fields, all unique, slightly different in very minute ways but very effective.

Monthly ATC Swap - April

Yes I know I've skipped a month, but I suddenly got the urge to doodle an Easter Egg last night. Once done I scanned it, printed them, cut them out and then stuck them onto watercoloured backgrounds, a bit of stamping, a signature and all done!

Monthly ATC Swap - February

I'm trying to get ahead om my monthly ATC Swap, after all we just have to pick our own theme relevant to the month of the year, I've picked all mt topics, finished and posted January and decided to start on February, which of course had to be Love for Valentine's Day for me! One of the ladies on the swap is going to paint a picture each month and then print it off to make the ATC's, so I decided to doodle a bird and then scanned it and then printed it on heavier paper, embellished it added stamped words and then attached it to the ATC back. It's kind of sweet and saved me loads of time as the doodled birds take ages, especially such small ones.

Book of Days - Day 2 - Looking Forward To ....

My completed page, background is distress stains with distress ink pads to give texture, rose stamp in teal. I used scraps of paper leftover from 366 challenge (sadly all gone now!). I used chip art tools to make my title which I then embossed. I made a book from 2 tags & Washi Tape. The girl is a painting I did last year which I cut out and stuck on the page after altering slightly, her dress is stamped tissue paper and she is holding a book of days.

The Postie Called!

Another parcel arrived today from a very wet postie, more colours, spare needles and some moulds, some more needle felting is on the cards I think!

Doodles Unleashed Page

My first attempt at one of the amazing Traci's Doodled pages, so far no pen used, just paint, sprays & inks. just found my Tippex pen so will doodle in white and then add some pen highlights, so watch this space. Got really messy (unusual for me) but really enjoyed it.

Book of Days - Calendar Day (1st January)

Having finally managed to watch Effy do "her thing" on video (missed livestream last night - pooh!) I got to do my calendar page. Effy explained that calendar pages are for the 1st Month & special days like Valentine's Day, your Birthday etc. We had champagne New Year's Eve and we finished the bottle just after midnight, so I saved the bottle soaked the labels off and carfeully removed the foil. I managed to recycle those items to make punched butterflies & a necklace. I also punched butterflies from the left over background from my 366 challenge. I had a happy pink day today, hence the background, I enhanced a B&W photo of me with acrylics and I used clock stencils to signify start of the year etc. That with some journaling and doodling = complete!

I finally got to finish my "Blue" canvas - finally called it "Hearts of Blue" I know not very original, it will be offered for sale in Pippa's Pieces (click link at top of page)

2012 - Hopes, Dreams and Intentions!

So what do I want for 2012?

I'm not making any New Year's Resolutions, they get broken!

So I'm making a list of what I hope for: -

To be gentler with myself!
To weigh less than I do now!
To FOCUS on what is important in my life!
To let go of the unimportant STUFF!
To continue to support my family as much as possible, that's not always from a financial point of view!
To increase my earnings from my art (just a little)!
To expand my artistic abilities as much as I can!
To fully participate in and complete all the online courses I have signed up for, namely: - Life Book, Book of Days, Doodles Unleashed, Mixed Media Postcard Swap, Draw Happy, ATC Swap (Monthly) & Summer of Colour.
To let go of the CRAP!
To look after myself - that includes mind, body & spirit!
To remain financially stable!
To be HAPPY!
