Brave Girls Daily Truth - A Little Bird Told Me!

Dear Lovely Girl,

You might think you are lost among the number of people in the world -- six billion people to be exact. You might sometimes feel like you are not unique or important or even SEEN. You might feel forgotten and lost in the shuffle, like what you do or how you live and what you think and who you are could really possible matter.

Who matters to you? How big of a difference do they make in YOUR life, and how different would your world be without them?

Who folded the shirt you were wearing and put it on the shelf at the store in such a way that it caught your eye? Who planted the flowers along the walkway, the happy little house you drive by every day? Who came up with the recipe for your favorite cookies?

Think about all of the small things in your life that bring you joy, the things that REALLY make your life the way it is. It's the little things that matter, isn't it?

NOW, there are a WHOLE lot of people who think of YOU this way, all of the little things that you do that make their life better. All of the 'you-ness' that you add to everything you do that makes the world prettier and finnier and happier and smarter and funkier and more unique. Not only would THEIR world not be same without you, but THE WORLD would not be the same without you.

So don't get caught in the trap of thinking that you have to do BIG THINGS to make a difference. JUST BE YOU. Please don't stop being YOU. Don't give up. Don't get discouraged.

You are not just one in a million. You are one in SIX BILLION. Now that's pretty darn special, isn't it?

OWN IT!

A great day out! Maggie & I took the boys to Bishops Lydeard to the West Somerset Railway for a trip on a steam train, we went to Watchet and met my DH there (he travelled down on the motorbike), had a walk around, had lunch then came back on the diesel train, the boys loved it!

Brave Girls Daily Truth - A Little Bird Told Me!

Dear Stunning Girl,

Why is it that so many of us don't feel we have a 'right' to do the things we want to do, to dream big dreams, or to be who we want to be? Why do we think there are some special hoops we have to jump through, or some people we have to ask first, or some stuff we have to do first?

Well, amazing friend -- no more excuses. Here's your official permission slip:

Dear World:

This fabulous brave girl has permission to go out and be amazing, to have all the happiness in the world, and to make a difference in ways that only she can. I know, world, that you do not require permission. But for some reason, this lovely girl keeps thinking she needs it. So please keep supporting her, keep teaching her, and keep showing her just exactly how amazing she is.

Sincerely,
Her Biggest Fans

Now -- GET OUT THERE ARE DO IT!! You are gonna knock everyone's socks off!!

Have the most incredible weekend ever.

Stampmania

Big thanks to Wendy for sending me loads of stamps for my collage activities, so many beautiful stamps of all sizes & colours arrived in stuffed envelopes through my letterbox this week, I have soaked all the envelope bits off the stamps so they are primed and ready to use in my projects.

Brave Girls Daily Truth - A Little Bird Told Me!

Dear Unforgettable Girl,

Have you ever found yourself saying, or even thinking, "I did not sign up for this!?"

Often we commit to something or someone, thinking that things will be one way, when somehow they end up being something else entirely. The gifts in this? They are MANY if we choose to see them instead of finding ourselves frustrated and resentful, or feeling like a switch-trick has been played on us.

Try to remind yourself that the good stuff of life is in the most unexpected places, and that there are millions of places in life that we don't even know about yet. With that fact in mind, know that there's no way we could get to the very best fruit if we stayed RIGHT where we could see it. Sometimes we have to climb through vines, climb to the tops of trees, and even visit new and unknown places to find the stuff that is best of us. How could we ever even plan for that if we don't know about it to begin with?

Even if it's hard, roll with it. Try to learn something new every day. Do your best. When you end up in a situation that you 'did not sign up for', think of it as an advanced course that your teacher decided you were ready for. Feel honored, and dig in and learn learn learn!

You are so smart, so capable, and you can totally do this. You can even do it with a smile on your face. And why would you want to do it any other way?

See you in class!

Brave Girls Daily Truth - A Little Bird Told Me!

Dear Incredible, Beautiful, Courageous Girl,

You have been through a lot, and you have always pulled through. You are a champ at pulling through! Sure, there were some things you may have done differently given the chance, but all in all you made it through every storm, every fire, and up every mountain.

When is the last time you sat down to REALLY think about how far you have come? When is the last time you listed all the things you have learned, all of the weaknesses you have overcome, and all of the times you chose to see the good stuff even though the bad stuff seemed to outweigh it?

Sometimes you just need to tally it all up. We all forget how far we have come and we only focus on how far we still have to go. Imagine having to run a marathon and never knowing how many miles you have run. You would probably feel like it would never end!

You are so much further along than you think you are. You are so much stronger than you think you are. You have done so much more in the world than you think you have done.

Sit down today and really think about the long path that has brought you to now, and pat yourself on the back a little. You did a great job!

And you will continue to do a great job.

Thanks for being so brave. You inspire more people than you will ever know!
